The file utah_mw.cat is the moment magnitude catalog. The first two lines are headers, and the following 16,173 lines list the moment magnitudes. There are 16 columns separated by spaces:

– Date (UTC)
– Origin time (UTC)
– Latitude (°N)
– Longitude (°E)
– Depth (km)
– Local magnitude (ML), -9.99 if a value does not exist
– Coda duration magnitude (MC), -9.99 if a value does not exist
– Number of stations used to locate the earthquake
– Distance to the nearest station used in the location (km)
– Standard error of earthquake depth
– Standard error of earthquake epicenter
– Number of stations used to estimate MW
– Moment magnitude (MW)
– Standard error of MW
– Corner frequency (Hz)
– Akaike Information Criterion for the spectral fit

The method for calculating MW is described in the companion paper (Koper & Burlacu, 2026).
